Our thanks to Ritchie Robertson
The General Editor and all the series Editors at Legenda wish to express their warmest gratitude to Ritchie Robertson FBA as he prepares to step down from his editorship of Germanic Literatures. Ritchie has led our German list since 1995, when the Legenda project, conceived by Malcolm Bowie, was launched. It was Ritchie who founded Germanic Literatures as a dedicated Legenda series for German in 2013, and he has also twice served as Legenda's overall general editor. We congratulate Ritchie on his achievement across the thirty years of his exemplary editorship. We’re delighted that Ritchie will continue his work as a member of the Editorial Committee.
Ritchie’s successor as Editor of Germanic Literatures is Dr Charlotte Lee of the University of Cambridge.
Besides editing, Ritchie Robertson has a remarkable total of 109 publications in our pages, across a span of 41 years. His acclaimed Selected Essays were published by Legenda in 2017.
