New and Open: Intermedia in Italy: From Futurism to Digital Convergence
Published today as a Gold Open Access ebook: Clodagh Brook, Florian Mussgnug and Giuliana Pieri's book Intermedia in Italy: From Futurism to Digital Convergence.

Jointly written by three leading Italianists — Clodagh Brook, Florian Mussgnug and Giuliana Pieri — this is an apt book to be one of our very first Gold Open Access titles: digital convergence in action. Italian artists and writers have always been at the leading edge of media-blurring culture, from Marinetti to Wu Ming, and now it's an Italian studies title which has been our first step in the new scholarly-publishing medium of "printed book plus Open Access". A handsome hardback for libraries, with colour illustrations, will eventually be followed by a student-priced paperback, and from day one there's an Open Access ebook. It's particularly pleasing to be able to issue this in time for this week's Society for Italian Studies conference.
Intermedia in Italy is volume 6 in our newest book series, Visual Culture.
