The Late Mary Shelley
This video captures an online event held on 18 February by BARS, the British Association of Romantic Studies, to present Mary Shelley and Europe: Essays in Honour of Jean de Palacio — a collection edited by Antonella Braida which is volume 55 in our Studies In Comparative Literature series.
The presentation is a roundtable discussion between Dr Antonella Braida, Kathleen Hurlock, Professor Michael Rossington, Professor Angela Wright, and Carly Yingst, chaired by Dr Amanda Blake Davis. During the session, the guests mark the anniversary of Mary Shelley’s death (in February 1851) by discussing her later life, works, and legacy, celebrating Shelley’s many achievements beyond and after Frankenstein.
