Professor Mary Cosgrove has announced her intention to retire from the post of Germanic Editor of the Modern Language Review with effect from the end of June 2019.

The MHRA is therefore seeking applications from colleagues who would be interested in taking on this work. The requirements are a passion for the subject, fine judgement and diplomacy, ability to work to deadlines, and the willingness to serve on the MHRA committee that meets three times a year in London. The position is unpaid but the MHRA covers all expenses. The Editor will be required to become a member of the Association if she/he is not already a member.
