New General Editor for Legenda
The Legenda Management Committee is delighted to announce that in
succession to Professor Colin Davis, who steps down on 1 January 2017,
Professor Jonathan Long will be the next General Editor of Legenda. Jonathan
Long is Professor of German and Visual Culture at the University of Durham.
He is a distinguished scholar, his research interests lying mainly in
twentieth-century German literature and photography. Among his publications
are monographs on Thomas Bernhard and W. G. Sebald. He has also published on
aspects of literary theory, film and English literature. Professor Long has
considerable strategic and operational experience, having held various
institutional and cross-institutional management posts, most recently that
of Consortium Director of the AHRC-funded Northern Bridge Doctoral Training
Partnership, as well as being a long-standing member of the AHRC Peer Review
College and AHRC prioritisation panels.
