The MHRA has an active role in electronic publishing. The journals The Modern Language Review, The Yearbook of English Studies, The Slavonic and East European Review, Portuguese Studies, and Austrian Studies are now all published online (often slightly ahead of the print publication of each volume) and are currently available free of charge to print subscribers.
The Annual Bibliography of English Language and Literature is compiled as a database and can be accessed online or on CD-ROM by subscribers. Through its involvement in the syndicated pay-per-view distribution of journal articles, the MHRA seeks to ensure world-wide dissemination of its authors' work.
MHRA Working Papers in the Humanities is an electronic publication
forum intended to allow researchers to present initial findings or hypotheses
such as might, at a more advanced stage, become eligible for publication in
established scholarly journals. As such it will be of particular interest
to postgraduate researchers, though established scholars are also invited
to submit papers.
The Association is also supporting work on an online critical edition of the works of Karl Gutzkow.
