The MHRA supports the broadest possible range of approaches to the modern humanities. It encourages the submission of articles and applications relating to gender studies, art history, cultural history, film studies and critical theory, as well as those that take inter-disciplinary approaches.
One major multi-disciplinary work, currently in preparation for the Publications of the MHRA, is Europa Triumphans, a commented edition of festival texts from Renaissance and Early Modern Europe, a collaboration between scholars in the fields of literature, history, art history, dance and music.
Amongst recent MHRA monographs are studies of post-colonial writing, feminist thought and gay fiction.
